Lots of people out there have good ideas and intention to start their own business. However, one of the biggest obstacles to do this would be financing. There are several Creative ways to overcome this obstacle and I will cover two main ones here..

Learn to Systemize Your Business for Fast Growth

Well, we all know what's involved with business, you spend money or time and sell products or services to make a profit. Now in most small businesses, people tend to get into a tactical approach which requires continual changes to keep up with the business. It's basically firefighting which does not give you a chance to really grow.

The most profitable thinking is to be strategic, meaning you look at what you want to achieve and build a strategy around that. Another term used a lot, is the concept that you should be on your business not in your business.

In terms of the concept of been on your business, the main thing is how you value your time. This means task that cost or value less than how you value your time can be outsource or employed to someone else. In fact nowadays, you can get contracted help for pretty much any task that you treat this way. Example, Lets say you target that your time is worth $300/Hour and you plan to work 2 Hours per day for business related activities. This means if a task can be done for $30/hour, its not worth your while, since your goal is $300.

Now did I lose you with all of this? I have two recommendations for this. One is time limited and free while the other is product to help you build systems.

One of the big trend on the web is the growth of social networks. This can be very powerful for your small business if you are utilizing these platforms to find new customers and connect with existing customers.

One of the thing that's coming is Google Connect which basically connects your site to all the major social sites. This will allow you to get feedback and share news on your site with friends and get things spread out from there as appropriate.

This is all possible with the push of open social programming, it will benefit from application developers to actual users who are the real purpose of it in the first place. I think the goal of this is to reduce spam and get people to really socialize at levels which is what we are anyway..

I mention the term Internet Business but this these principles apply to just about any type of business that you can think.

Here is the basic sequence.

1. Determine an in demand market

2. Develop a strategy to reach the market

3. Develop or source a product

4. Promote and deliver the product

5. Relationship and Support.

To get some more details on these to ensure comprehension, here goes.

Determine an in demand market - This is a critical first step to get your business off the ground. You will have personal interest and desires but you need to find out what will sell, otherwise you have your site or store and no one shows up. In the online world, you can use places such as http://pulse.ebay.com, Google trends and several others to see whats hot in the market place. Once you get that, then you brainstorm basic keywords around the specific market or niche. You can use tools such as wordtracker.com to see what the demand is like for specific keywords.

Develop a strategy to Reach the Market - There are several ways to reach your potential customers - typically, if you are online, you would need a website (duh!) but you would need to decide if its a blog or static site with basic content. Then would decide how you plan to promote either paid or free.

Develop or Source Product - This decision could be dependent on the market. For example if you wanted to sell televisions, you could consider doing affiliate marketing or drop shipping with arrangement from a supplier. In the case of information products, you could do the same but you want to have your own product to control how you address the buyers need directly.

Promote and Deliver your Product

This is the case where you complete your website, put content that explains the product and whatever resources to help the buyer. You would then add your product link or product ordering to that website. Once thats in place, you then either use paid services such as PPC to promote or Search Engine optimization and other techniques.

Relationship and Support - Typically, if you had a normal store, you develop relationship with customers coming and out of the store over time. The same rule apply to the Internet in a more fundamental way. Customers will come to your site and not buy, so the one thing I did not mentioned earlier, you could offer something useful and free in exchange for their e-mail address. With the e-mail, you can provide them good value information and make them offer from time to time. Treat them like friends and really be helpful.

In the end Internet Marketing is not that hard. The main challenge I think is to find the correct market and then position products to address needs.

One thing that we do need to mention is that the market that you face is likely to be much different than the market that someone else faces. The goals that you have in comparison to the goals of someone else are much different. In fact, you are sure to see yourself striving for benefits that are not on target for your business.

First off, take a step back, out of the picture and look at your market.

If you are selling on the internet, look at the other sellers.
If you are a small local business owner, step back and look at your local market.

Whatever you are doing, step back.

To Consider Now

The market that you work in is very dependant on who your customers are. If you are looking for immediate success, just opening your doors can help you to get started. But, in looking at your market, you can better see several things.

Ask yourself and answer these questions before moving forward.

• Who is my customer? The seniors or the children, the business women or the business owner…determine who your customer is.

• How do they find you? Do they find you online, through a simple web search? Do they need to find you through an affiliate link? Do they find you in their local area, in one of the most popular areas in the city?

• Who else is out there? Who is your competition? Where are they located? What do they offer that allows you to better them? How do they better you in your marketplace? Why are they open, pulling business away from you?

• What do you offer that is better, in some way, then the other guy? What do they offer that is better in some way than you?

• Where is your market going? Is the economy growing, stalling out, or is it holding steady? What amount of money do your customers have to spend on your product?

Well, there are lots of searches nowadays for work at home jobs and businesses. This is influenced by many factors but chief of them is the ability to earn a decent income without the restriction of working for an employer.

One opportunity that is out there and is always presented everywhere you look is the concept of an Internet Business. Now these come in different flavors and can be most confusing at times to say the least. Where confusion exist there lies the potential for scammers and there are a lot of them online for sure.

Can you make an honest living online? Sure you can. Are there reliable means to do so? yes, definitely.

How should you approach this then?I would say find out how to run a business, what is required and the overall process. The US Small Business Administration here, has lots of information in this area.

Once you have your notes about whats required to start a business, you can then do some research on how to make money online. The fundamentals in any business is to supply products or services to consumers. The Following options are of some of the main ones:

Affiliate Marketing - Sell someones product from a website
Own Direct Product - Sell your own product on your website
Drop Shipping - This is selling product directly but supplier by a third party
Services - advertise and provide some kind of service directly

The good thing then is to research those briefly and see which direction you want to go. The next step is to see which market you can service and the prospect to meeting your income targets.

One the thing I would emphasize is to always consider getting help in some ways, either mentors or associates that can help with some area or another.

I personally like the idea of owning your own product and even creating products from scratch. The quick reason for this is that ultimately you have more control and the rewards can be mind blowing.

Product Creation, A Re-mix

Great!! Got my first post out of the way, now I want to focus on the meat of how it make sense to develop products.

One of the biggest or popular activity you will hear about online is affiliate marketing. What exactly is this? Basically, someone make a contract with a product owner to market products for a commission. Now what does this have to do with product creation?

Lets face it, if you became an affiliate marketer, you would need to develop promotional strategy to sell into a specific niche. This can be rewarding and in fact, you have the benefit of no logistics to manage payments etc..

Lets say then you switch the table and have your own product. Could you then use other affiliates to market for you? Absolutely!! In fact, you could get thousands of them to do this.. If you then had a product worth $25 and you paid 20% commission and then you got each of the 1000 or more affiliate to sell one each, then you would have made $20000 and not mention if they sold 5 each..

With your own Product, you can leverage Affiliate Marketing...

The other option you have for selling would be using Joint Ventures. What this is really is that you locate establish business owners in the niche in question and use the same commission system to sell to their customer base. This is very lucrative since they already developed trust with their customers and recommending your product would be an easier sell.

Got side tracked with the selling aspect but lets get back to the basic logistics of getting a product.

Now, this could be any product type but for simple example, we can stick to basic Information product or software package. assuming you found a very good niche, the next step is to decide how to get the product. Now, to get this out of the way, you could sell large products using the concept of drop shipping. This means you would get some else to manage the logistics and you focus on orders, you could even rebrand but we will discuss this part later.

Now if you decide on a information product, the following steps maybe helpful.

Product Goal
Product Contents (own, expert or Private Label Rights)
Packaging
Marketing

The more original the product the better, so while PLR can get you going quickly bear in mind that others will be selling the same content.

I will provide some more technical details next time, but the goal is to give you a good feel on why this can be useful. I have seen a case where someone had a training package for about $900 each and sold 1500 by Joint Venture in a few days. Did you get the total there? Thats $1.35M!! Not to mention residual sales that will happen. Do you see the benefit of this then? Anyway for now, more materials here. Leave comments if you see fit..

How to Create Products to Make a Living

well, here I am creating a blog to discuss product Creation. What do I know about Creating Products? I have worked in Product Development for a major telecom supplier over 9 years now specifically in product development. I do understand this process from a large scale and smaller scale point of view.

Whats the point about product development as a business? or as an home based business to begin with?

If you look at all the big successes nowadays online, they all started by having their own product of some sort. Examples are Youtube, Google, Facebook and several others.

Working for a large company, it was hard for me to think of owning or developing my own product. In fact what I am saying here is that the biggest part thats preventing success in a big way, is our accepting defeat without trying. We are always told to do things a certain way and most times you have to play some politics to get ahead at work.

If you win the rat race, you are still a rat...

Lets say you are interested to start a business. The simple intention of a business are to provide products or services to a specific customer base.

In respect to product the first consideration is to buy and sell products either online or via a brick and mortar store. Now for a lot of people this may be far fetch since you need money to buy the products to sell in the first place. Therefore, the cycle may never start if you don't have lots of capital to risk.

Starting a business with little Capital...

The reason the Internet has such a big hype in respect to potential business opportunity is largely due to the fact of low overhead expected and the much bigger market.

To summarize business process we can say the following

Product
Sales and Marketing
Transaction
Profit

Now since product is important, you can't just sell or make any product. You need to find out what people are looking for.. Thats the essential step to achieving success.

In another post I will give an easy example of developing a quality product for less than $500 and then you can find people to help you sell it..

In summary, the whole notion of product creation should first start with a goal or you could say a business plan. Don't just say I am going to make some money.. The fun part about all this, is that you will truely enjoy the process of creating products.
